Isn't it Grand!

Here I am back again with another HAF blog ring artisan feature. This week I get to feature CJGrand from The Grand Design. This is an interesting one for me, as one of the styles she specialises in is SteamPunk, which is not something I have really understood or even liked very much. But I have to say that her style of SteamPunk is very inspiring, and very attractive. Enough so that I am reconsidering my previous aversion to the style.
The other items that she creates is Healing Jewelry, using gemstones. Her creations are fabulous, making the most of the fabulous abundance of gemstones available.
You can see more of her fabulous creations in her Etsy and her ArtFire stores, as well as checking out her blog, where she promotes other handmade artisans and items.

The Sweet Scent of Success

I am back with another fabulous HAF blog ring artisan feature. I took last week off, because I was the featured artisan for our ring! But now I am back again, and I get to feature a fabulous artisan. Well, it is really two artisans, a husband and wife team. Larissa and Eric are the amazing talents behind Reef Botanicals. They make soap, lip balms, candles, sugar scrubs and hair care products, all of which are completely natural. They do not use any synthetic fragrances or colourings. Many of their products are simply the colour the ingredients make them. They only use essential oils to fragrance the products, and some products have no extra fragrance at all. Many of their products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, and due to their naturalness, are suitable for those with sensitive skin too.
I also took a bit of a look around and found out that Larissa is also a face painter as well as being a lawyer. Im not sure how she manages to juggle all those roles, plus maintain all the websites and blogs she has going! And she does all this whilst promoting other artisans and participating on the Handmade Artist's Forum regularly.
You can see more of the wonderful delights available from Reef Botanicals by checking out the website or their ArtFire studio, and you can also check out their blog.

What would you find?

Sometimes I get stuck on what to blog about, and today was one of those days. So I turned to my friend Coltpixy. I asked her to give a word, any word and she gave me the word 'hoarder'. I then went to ArtFire and did a search. Well, actually I searched for 'hoard' and then I picked a few of my favs.

It is really quite fun to wander around handmade sites and see what unique and interesting items you can find. And you may well find something to add to your own hoard.

All Mimsy Were The Borogoves

It is time for another blog ring post about a wonderful Handmade Artists' Forum member. This week it is Nancy from 'Twas Brillig. I happen to love the Jabberwocky, so I was looking forward to doing this blog post, if only so I could use a line as the title!
Nancy is incredibly talented, and her etsy store - the tulgey wood - features a wonderfully eclectic range of items. There are some fabulous jewellery pieces, and some absolutely amazing artworks, there are even some toys for your pet.
Nancy is also an accomplished photographer, and a visit to her photoblog is well worth it!
Nancy is a great contributor to and supporter of the Handmade Artists' Forum, and the handmade community in general.
You can see more of her great items in her Etsy, and find out more about her on her blog.
