And I am back after a short illness prompted hiatus to present my next Smoosher feature for our new blogring. This weeks featured Smoosher is Sassy Clay Creations, also known as Dori.
Dori is a very talented polymer clay artist, and one of the kindest women I know. She has a huge heart, and is only too happy to share her knowledge.
In her studio - Sassy Clay Creations - you can see her wonderful, unique and colourful creations. She loves to layer polymer clay, adding interest and texture as well as amazing detail. There are a few of her creations that remind me of the decorations on a gingerbread house! (This is a good thing - I like gingerbread houses) So here is a little sneak peek in her studio.
You should also take a look at her fabulous blog, where she promotes other artisans, presents interesting tutorials and keeps us all updated on her current creative pursuits.

Raining Donuts
This weeks Saturday Shopping feature is actually happening on Sunday in Australia!
These weeks theme is 'Raining Donuts' - those keywords together didnt really get any results - but donuts did!
On a completely irrelevant note - in Australia they are doughnuts not donuts.
Let's Shop!!

Shining Star
This week is the first week of the brand new Polymer Clay Smooshers Blogring. Each week one of our members will be blogged about by our members, and who better to start us off than our wonderful Guild Master - Coltpixy.
I 'met' ColtPixy, aka Star, quite early on in my journey of online selling. She introduced me to the wonders of Mica Shift. As I was quite new to polymer clay I hadn't heard of it, but I fell in love straight away. I was inspired by the wonderful Mica Shift she had in her ArtFire Studio. So much so that I bought one of her Mica Shift Fish Magnets and a Purple Lucky Bunny Booty keyring.
Over the course of the last almost 18 months Star has become one of my best friends. She is wonderfully supportive and caring, always ready to listen and inspire. As a Guildmaster she has turned the Polymer Clay Smooshers into one of the most active guilds coming out of ArtFire. As a Guildmaster myself I understand how much work it requires, and I have even borrowed a couple of Star's ideas - because frankly she has the best ideas!
Whilst Star's main media currently is Polymer Clay, she is accomplished in other artistic pursuits, including the creation of some amazing Mosaic pieces. Her attention to detail is evident in everything she creates and has really come to the fore with her recent exploration into the world of miniatures, and in her fabulous sculptural pieces.
If you want to be amazed and inspired check out her ArtFire Studio, or drool over her deviantArt deviations, or you can even follow her blog to get sneak peeks at works in progress, finished pieces and all manner of interesting topics.
If I achieve nothing more than friendships with people like Star during my life, then I have achieved more than I could ever dream of.
